How we came to be
Working with words for a quarter of a century gets you pretty thirsty. Not in the gym-sort of way, more in the; I need a drink and I need it now.
After being a journalist and then a business owner for many years, I came to Lisboa on a whim and after a few months I decided to stick around a little longer. The wine, the food, the light of the city at dusk… too good to be true!
The only thing I missed profoundly here was the lovely Danish produce and the good food served in the many quality restaurants in Denmark and especially in Copenhagen. When I have visited Copenhagen, I have had a great yearning for drinking the exceptional Portuguese wine.
So why not combine the two and help Scandinavian restaurants finding the quality products of Portugal to go with the food?
We want to introduce great wines to Scandinavia that already have wonderful food and an array of wines from Italy, France and Spain. But not many Scandinavian wine bars and restaurants offer Portuguese wine and we want to change that.
We are a B2B company only and we combine our vast knowledge of the local wines with the tradition of food from the Nordic countries. Without the middle man, we are able to deliver great wines at affordable prices.

Portuguese wines are wonderful. The Phoenicians brought the wine production to the country more than 3,000 years ago. The climate on the Iberian peninsula is perfect for grape production and more than 300 different grapes is grown here. Portugal is the fifth largest exporter of wine in Europe.
So how would one go about researching and presenting the best wines? Well, of course ask some very apt people with great experience?
